Professor Adesegun Fatusi
Adesegun Olayiwola FATUSI is a public health physician and a Professor of Community Health at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria (OAU) as well as Honorary Consultant Community Health Physician at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He is currently the Provost, College of Health Sciences, OAU. Prior to that, he was the Director of OAU’s Institute of Public Health (IPH). In addition, he served as the Director of Population and Reproductive Health Programme (PRHP) from 2008 to 2014.
Adesegun Olayiwola FATUSI graduated from OAU in 1987 with Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree, and with distinction in Community Health and the Lawrence Omole Award for the best student in final year Community Health examination. In 1992, he won the Federal Government one-year abroad award for the best candidate in the Part I examinations of the Faculty of Public Health of the National Postgraduate Medical College. He graduated from the International Masters of Public Health programme of the Hebrew University, Hadassah, Israel, in 1995 with summa cum laude honours. He obtained the Fellowship of the West African College of Physicians in Community Health in April 1995. He was a Gates-Packard Scholar, Population Leadership Programme of the University of Washington, Seattle, USA between 2001 and 2002, and a Visiting Scholar at the Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Baltimore, USA in 2007.
Fatusi is a highly committed teacher, consummate researcher and outstanding mentor. He has published widely and presently has over 100 publications. Prior to his academic career, he worked as a Technical Advisor to UNFPA-supported Reproductive Health programmes in Nigeria from 1996 to 2001. His areas of interest are: Adolescent Health, Reproductive Health Epidemiology, and Public Health Leadership and Policy. He has a strong focus on bridging the gap between the academia and field-based public health practice. Beyond the academia, he is well known and highly regarded with his frontline roles in leading national public health research initiatives, policy development and population-level programming at national and sub-national levels in Nigeria and beyond in the field of Adolescent Health, Reproductive Health Epidemiology and Services, and Health Leadership and Policy.
He is the Founder and President of Paaneah Foundation, Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria, and the Technical Lead for the Academy for Health Development (AHEAD), Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He was also the Founder of the Campus Health and Rights Initiative (CHRI), Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria – focusing on the health, rights and development issues of young people in tertiary institutions. He is currently the Chair of Nigeria’s National Adolescent Health & Development Technical Working Group – a position he has held since 2006 – and President of the Society for Adolescent and Young People’s Health in Nigeria. He is also a member of the Global Commission on Adolescent Health issues – the Lancet Commission on Adolescent Health and Wellbeing. He is the Director of the annual Short Course on Adolescent Health in sub-Saharan Course at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria and one of the facilitators of the Short Course on Adolescent Health in Low and Middle-Income Countries hosted annually by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He is a contributor to the Adolescent Health online course of the Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, USA. He is a member of the Editorial Board of Journal of Adolescent Health, and had severally served as temporary Adviser to WHO Headquarters in Geneva on Adolescent and Reproductive Health. He was the lead Consultant for the development of National Policy on the Health & Development of Adolescent and Young Persons, the National Strategic Plan on the Health & Development of Adolescent and Young Persons, and the Action Plan for Advancing the Health of Adolescents in Nigeria. He also serves on the Board of several non-governmental organisations focusing on young people’s health and development.
Fatusi was also the technical advisor for the project under which Nigeria’s first National Reproductive Health Policy was developed. Furthermore, he had served as the lead consultant for the development of a number of other national policy documents, including: National Policy on the Health & Development of Adolescent and Young Persons, National Policy on HIV/AIDS 2010-2015, National Strategic Framework on HIV/AIDS 2010-2015, and National Policy on HIV/AIDS Research Agenda (2010), and the Revised National Reproductive Health Policy (2010). He was also a member of the team of consultants that developed the National Policy on Population for Sustainable Development, National HIV/AIDS Behaviour Change Communication Strategy 2004–2008, and the National Maternal Mortality Reduction Road Map. He was a member of the Ministerial Committee that developed Nigeria’s Health Sector Reform Programme in 2004 as well as the Technical working Group for the new National Health Policy. His experience in leading national research initiatives include the National Study on School Health, Performance Factor Special Study on Reproductive and Child Health, the National AIDS & Reproductive Health Survey, and the National HIV/AIDS Knowledge, Attitude and Practices and School Health Survey. He has worked as a consultant to several international development agencies, including WHO, UNFPA, UNICEF, World Bank, and USAID.

Bolanle Oyeledun
Bolanle Oyeledun, MD, MPH, MSc, is the country director of the ICAP-Nigeria program and an associate research scientist with Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University, New York.
Before joining ICAP, Bola was a deputy country director at the Johns Hopkins University/CCP Nigeria program. She has extensive prior work experience in HIV/AIDS, reproductive and adolescent health at policy, service delivery, and programming levels in and outside Nigeria. Bola was also a visiting fellow to the University of Washington Population Leadership Program and is currently a member of the program’s external advisory board.
Bola holds a medical degree from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and has masters degrees in Public Health and Health Management from the Universities of Lagos, Nigeria and Heidelberg, Germany. She is an associate fellow of the National Post Graduate Medical College of Physicians and has undergone health management and communications training at the Harvard School of Public Health and the Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University.

Professor Babatunde Salako
Professor Babatunde Salako is a seasoned physician, teacher and administrator. He is a Professor and Consultant Physician and Nephrologist at the College of Medicine of the University of Ibadan and is the current Provost of the same College. He works as an Honorary Consultant Physician and Nephrologist at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria as well.
Professor Babatunde Salako’s foray into the world of Medicine began in 1986 when he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Ibadan and further went on to become a Fellow of the West African Postgraduate Medical College in 1994. He is also a Fellow, by election, of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh. Some of his professional memberships are with the Nigerian Medical Association, Nigerian Association of Nephrology, International Society of Hypertension in Blacks, Scientific Council on Epidemiology and Prevention, Global Forum for Health Research, Geneva and National Institute of Management, among others.
He began expressing excellent leadership skills right from his time in secondary school through his undergraduate and postgraduate years up till date. He has held positions such as Chairman of the Continuing Education Committee of the Nigerian Medical Association (Oyo state), Chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association (Oyo state), Head of the Department of Medicine, University College Hospital, Ibadan, to name a few. In the Academics, he has served and still serves as guest lecturer at the annual update courses of the West African College of Physicians and also as internal and external examiner to both undergraduate and postgraduate students at the University of Ibadan and Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, both in Oyo state of Nigeria.
As a demonstration of his consistent scholarship, he has won several grants to carry out research activities on Hypertension, such as Senate Research grants, MacArthur Foundation Research Grant and just recently, a grant in collaboration with the Department of Preventive Medicine and Epidemiology of the Loyola University, Chicago, USA. Professor Salako has been decorated with several awards by the University of Ibadan, the Nigerian Medical Association and other bodies in recognition of his meritorious service. He is committed to serving his community as he has given talks and trainings to various audiences on several occasions and has been decorated with awards for his selfless service.
Professor Salako has completed a number of research works focused on hypertension and nephrology and he currently has 5 on-going research projects. He has also carried out clinical trials for a number of Pharmaceutical companies, namely, Neimeth International Pharmaceutical, May and Baker, Glaxo Nigeria Ltd and a few others. Professor Salako has 96 publications to his credit and these include journal articles, abstracts, a published book (Handbook of kidney and kidney-related diseases for Lay persons) and conference papers.
In his spare time, away from work, Professor Babatunde Salako enjoys listening to music, watching football and reading the Holy Quran.

Mrs Modupe Enitan Olayoku
Modupe started her career in May 1972 in the then Barclays Bank which became Union Bank and retired as an Assistant General Manager in charge of Ibadan Area in March 2010. On professional level, she is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers; Fellow Institute of Credit Administrators, and Member Nigeria Institute of Management.
On 28th March 1953, Modupe Enitan Olayoku was born to the family of Ven. & Mrs. Gabriel Adedeji and Victoria Mosunmola Ogunyimika of Edun Abon in Ife North local Government in Osun State. She attended St Anne’s School Ibadan for her secondary education. She runs the Bible College for the Diocese and also serves as the Secetary to the Prayer Leaders Convocation for the Ecclesiastical province of Lagos. Modupe’s core competence is in training and development. She is the author of three book publications till date. She is happily married to Jacob Olujimi Olayoku since 1977, and their marriage is blessed with 4 adult children and 5 grand-children.

Mr Oye Taiwo brings to the board a rich professional knowledge and vast management expertise with varying business skills that span over four decades with international exposure in Computing, Consulting, Human Capital Development and sound leadership content.
He has consulted for and participated in various WORLD BANK projects where human capital development, skill acquisition and process efficiency were core areas of critical attention.
In the course of his various assignments, he has provided tested strategic leadership directions in vertical areas within critical sectors of economy and governance such as Industrial, Banking & Finance, government etc and ensured successful and impactful horizontal effects in human capital resources, skill acquisition and management expertise.
No doubt, his professional knowledge, vast management expertise and business skills would combine with his international exposure to define the quality of leadership needed at the board.
He started out as a Computer Programmer at NCR (NIG) LTD – a multinational Corporation with Home Office at Dayton, Ohio, USA; worked in different capacities for 16 years and half, and rose to become the first Nigerian Manager to head the Systems Services Operations country-wide in 1988.
While in NCR CORPORATION, he attended several Professional and Management courses in USA, Europe, Middle-East and Africa where, he also, had working exposures and secondments.
He resigned from NCR CORPORATION in 1991 to establish DATA DESIGNS LABORATORIES – an indigenous Computer company with two other Nigerians and became the Executive Director, Corporate Services. In this capacity, he was in-charge of Computer software solutions, human capital development and relationship management.
In 2005, he became the Executive Chairman at GENERIC SYNERGY LTD – a company that specializes in ICT Consultancy and human capital development.
Outstanding Accomplishments.
- Under his leadership, his software team pioneered the introduction and implementation of ATM machines in Nigeria in 1988 (First at SOCIETE GENERALE BANK and later at FIRST BANK (NIG.) PLC)
- He led the team that pioneered the first unified banking package in Nigeria banks in the 80s (in proprietary and open systems and ensured their portability across systems)
- He was a member of a team of International Experts assembled to pioneer the harmonization of a single computer banking solutions for Africa in Kenya and London.
- He has received many commendations and won awards. Also, a member of many social organizations.
He has been involved in providing helpful templates for communal development and youth empowerment in his town – Ota and Aworiland with other altruistic natives.

Dr. Peju Adenusi is the Executive Director of Hygeia Foundation and the Managing Director of Hygeia Community Health Care. She holds various qualifications which include an MBBS Degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, A Masters in Public Health from University of Lagos, and a Masters in Family Planning and Social Research from Mahidol University, Thailand.
She is a Fellow of the Bill and Melinda Gates Institute at the John Hopkins University, Maryland, USA, and the Population Leadership Program (PLP), in University of Washington, Seattle, USA. She is a Public Health Physician with over twenty years’ experience in policy development and strategic planning, advocacy, program management, development of clinical guidelines and training curricula.
She is highly skilled and has in-depth working knowledge of health programs and structures at all levels in government with experience in non-governmental organization and international development agencies’ operations and procedures. Dr. Adenusi has been instrumental in charting the growth strategy of Hygeia Foundation since 2008.
Dr. Adenusi also has an in-depth working knowledge of population, development and reproductive healthcare structure at all levels in government with vast experience in non-governmental organizations and international development agencies operations and procedures. Olayemi O.T.
